What time controls you regularly use for playing chess online significantly influences how quickly you will improve.
Here is an analysis to show the differences
10 minutes or greater (rapid)
5 minutes or 3 minutes (blitz)
With Increment
1 minute (bullet)
Playing bullet, especially 1 minute with no increment, is not something you want to do regularly or for a significant amount of time.
Here is why:

Chess is a thinking game. You need time to analyze the position, find all checks, captures and attacks in critical positions and decide on the best move after that.
If you play bullet (1 + 0 or shorter) for a significantly long period of time, it teaches you something different, to forget about critical thinking and make quick moves.
Over time, this rewires your brain to play chess by intuition or instinct, and may not only delay progress in learning to play correct chess, but also reverse it.
But of course, bullet can be very fun. So the best way to play it if you can’t avoid it altogether is occasionally, focus for a month or two on improving your chess without playing bullet, and when you have had a significant rating climb in the other time controls, play some bullet for a day or two.
